we brush, i swear
Two weeks ago, Marco told Paul that his tooth hurt. Nothing more was said or thought about at that moment. Then last week when we were waiting for our flight, Paul asked me if I thought Marco's tooth looked crooked. I looked, yeah, it was crooked, and then Marco told me it hurt. I reached in, wiggled his tooth and wouldn't ya know it, it was loose. I told him his tooth was aching because it was loose and he would lose it soon.
The other night while brushing his teeth, he was playing with the tooth and got it all twisted around in knots (eew, I know, and there was blood). He was a little freaked out and it was hurting so Paul was trying to help straighten it back out. Under my breath I was telling Paul to just pull it out and the next thing we knew, it was out!
Last time we were at the dentist, they told me that considering how early Marco got his teeth and the fact that the x-rays showed the other teeth pushing up from the bottom already, that he would be losing teeth in the next year. Okay, yeah, he's not even 5 for a few more months! But they were right and now Marco is the talk at preschool. He's 'so cool' having already lost a tooth. Hum. All I know is, if he loses teeth as fast and furiouslyas he got them, within the next 6 months, he will be eating all his meals through a straw. And just when I got the baby through teething.
Oh, and just ask Marco what he is going to do with the 5 dollars (yeah folks, it's true.). He'll tell you he is saving it for college. He says he wants to play football for a good school and good schools cost a lot of money. Now that's my boy...

Congrats on losing your first tooth Marco! I only got $.10 when I lost a tooth. My how times have changed....
